After the Museums Aotearoa 2017 conference, we have the opportunity to hui at Te Rangimārie Marae - to engage with ideas arising from the conference - to network, learn and plan out a strategic plan for Kāhui Kaitiaki in the next few years. As usual, the planning team has pulled together a strong line-up of speakers covering a diverse range of kaupapa.
Confirmed speakers include: Hemi Te Peeti, who will share insight into the carving style of Te Hokowhitu MacGregor; Ranea Aperahama, Te Reo Māori writer at Te Papa Tongarewa; Glenn Iseger-Pilkington, South Australian Museum, Barbara Afitu, Community and Engagement Facilitator, PCAP, Auckland War Memorial Museum.
