Auckland Museum is a much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland's identity, committed to outstanding management of its extensive collections and the staff and volunteers who tell the Museum's stories.

The Major Works Project Co-Ordinator plays a key role as part of a significant programme of transformational work. This position is responsible for providing project co-ordination and support to the team delivering a major programme of works. Key tasks include project management support and co-ordination, as well as finance and general administration. Administrative responsibilities include reporting on project costs, raising purchase orders, preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes, tracking, planning and reporting on support activities for multiple projects. This is a fixed term full-time position through to December 2020.     

 To be successful in this role, you will offer:

  • At least 5 years' experience in similar project support and co-ordination roles
  • Knowledge and expertise of invoicing and payment systems
  • Proven experience preparing presentations and reports and other project related documentation
  • Strong organisational skills and a positive customer-focused approach
  • Prior experience in the construction industry would be an advantage
