2020 Museums Aotearoa AGM
Wednesday 8 July, Zoom, 3:00pm start
The Annual Report and Audited Annual Accounts were presented.
The National Repatriation Addendum for Kōiwi Tangata and Associated Burial Taonga within Aotearoa was discussed.
Board nominations closed on Monday 22 June 2020. Only two nominations were made, therefore an election was not necessary.

The AGM was held as notified. The Annual Report and Financial Report were presented, preliminary results from 2017 sector and visitor surveys were also presented. Auditors were appointed and Board Members elected.

2014 Museums Aotearoa AGM
Wednesday 2 April, Century Theatre, MTG Hawke's Bay, Napier, 4.00pm start
The AGM was held as notified, including the following business:
- The Annual Report and Annual Accounts were presented
- Roy Clare was declared elected to the Individual Member vacancy on the MA Board
- Grant Thornton was appointed Auditor for 2014
- The revised Code of Ethics (2013) was presented
The resolution on museum membership was passed with this wording:
"That MA establish a new sub-category of Museum Membership which is open to institutions for whom the Code of Ethics may not (or not yet) apply; and alters the constitution accordingly by inserting a new clause:
6.2.1 Affiliate Museum membership shall be open to museum institutions which are unable fully to subscribe to the Code of Ethics."
Draft minutes, and the annual report and accounts, will be circulated to members in May 2014.
The next AGM is scheduled to be held in Dunedin on or about 21 April 2015.

Board elections:
Notice of an election to be held for 1 Individual member has been circulated to Individual members. The Board now comprises:
- Thérèse Angelo, Air Force Museum (Chair, M): second term continues
- Tryphena Cracknell, MTG Hawke's Bay (I Kaitiaki): first term continues (supported by Manu Kawana, Te Manawa)
- Eric Dorfman, Whanganui Regional Museum (M): second term continues
- Jenny Harper, Christchurch Art Gallery (I): ends second term
- Brett Mason, Museums Wellington (I): first term continues
- Rhonda Paku, Te Papa (M): first term continues
There was one nomination for the one vacant Individual Member Board position by the closing date; Roy Clare CBE, Director of Auckland War Memorial Museum, will be declared elected at the AGM.
The Board is proposing a change to membership categories: download the resolution and background information (this has also been circulated to members). Please note that there was an error in the table of benefits in the original message to members: it is intended that Affiliate museum members will not have voting rights, while Full Museum members retain their current voting rights. This download is the revised proposal.
2013 Museums Aotearoa AGM
Thursday 11 April, Long Room, Wintec Atrium, Hamilton, 4.30pm start
Board elections:
An election was held for 3 Museum members, 1 Individual member, and a nomination sought from the Kahui Kaitiaki held on 10 April. The Board now comprises:
- Thérèse Angelo, Air Force Museum (Chair, M): begins second term
- Tryphena Cracknell, MTG Hawke's Bay (I Kaitiaki): begins first term (supported by Manu Kawana, Te Manawa)
- Eric Dorfman, Whanganui Regional Museum (M): begins second term

The 2012 Annual Report was read and Annual Accounts presented.
The minutes of the 2012 AGM were confirmed (see below), and Grant Thornton appointed as Auditor for 2013.
2012 Museums Aotearoa AGM
Thursday 19 April, Soundings Theatre, Te Papa, Wellington, 12pm start
Board elections:
As there were no other nominations, Jenny Harper, whose first term had expired, was re-appointed to the Board without the need for an election. There is currently no Board member nominated by Kaitiaki - Michelle Hippolite will take on this role until further notice. The Board now comprises:

- Eric Dorfman, Whanganui Regional Museum (M)
- Jenny Harper, Christchurch Art Gallery (I)

Annual Report:
The 2011 Annual Report and Annual Accounts were presented. An illustrated version of the Annual Report has been circulated to members.
The minutes of the 2011 AGM were confirmed and Grant Thornton appointed as Auditor for 2012.
