Archivist/Archives Advisor (Project)

At Archives New Zealand we are hiring a full-time (fixed term) Archivist/Archives Advisor for the Digitisation Team who will report to the Digitisation Manager and work closely with the Senior Archivist/Advisor, Archivist/Advisor and team of Digitisation Assistants to carry out key digitisation activities.

This role is focused on managing and implementing the digitisation workflow (including pre and post capture), advising on and developing guidelines for good archival and collections management practice and standards for digitisation.

Key aspects of the role:
•    Coordinating and optimising end-to-end workflows
•    Providing quality assurance and planning input
•    Monitoring and maintaining processes and standards
•    Working closely with public archives held in a variety of formats

Responsibilities of the Archivist/Archives Advisor include but are not limited to; advising on good archival and collections management practice, workflow support for the Digitisation Assistants, problem solving, project management, procurement and purchasing of equipment and consumables and liaising with vendors and service providers.
