Department of Internal Affairs
An opportunity to contribute your knowledge of museums to the work of a Lottery distribution committee
The Minister of Internal Affairs has issued a call for nominations for appointments to the Lottery distribution committees, including the Environment and Heritage Committee.
Lottery distribution committees were established under the Gambling Act 2003 to distribute the profits of New Zealand lotteries for community purposes.
The Environment and Heritage Committee considers applications for grants for projects that promote, protect and conserve New Zealand’s natural, physical and cultural heritage. This includes capital works at museums, archives, whare taonga, and art galleries.
Knowledge of cultural and physical heritage in a museum context is one of the selection criteria.
Details on the work of the Environment and Heritage Committee, and the experience and knowledge required by members, are in the attached information sheet.
Nominations close at midnight on 1 August 2021. Candidates must provide a current CV, a completed application and disclosure form, and a cover letter that explains how their skills and experience meet the selection criteria.
Any queries, and completed applications, should be sent to email@example.com
