Nelson Provincial Museum Pupuri Taonga o Te Tai Ao is the kaitiaki of social and natural history and taonga from the Nelson Tasman region.  Our team cares for the collection, and creates unforgettable experiences that stimulate awareness, celebrate diversity, excite action and entertain.

We are working towards building a new collection facility near the current museum and are now seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our team. This is a senior role which will report directly to the Chief Executive.
Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

The successful applicant will increase external funding streams to enable the growth and development of all areas of the Museum, ensuring that fundraising targets are met or surpassed.  The immediate focus will be raising funds for the planned new collection facility, a significant capital project.

The ideal applicant will have:

•    A successful track record in fundraising experience
•    Excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality
•    Strong influencing skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people
•    A strong local network or the ability to build one
•    Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
•    Demonstrated budgeting skills.
