MOTAT

MOTAT is looking for two Maintenance Team Members, one part-time and one full-time, to join the team that keep the Museum maintained and well-presented for our visitors. Your work will include everything from painting and carpentry to general maintenance across the MOTAT sites.

The maintenance role has true variety so will require you to think on your feet, work both independently and as part of the team, and identify opportunities for improvement across MOTAT while you are working. In your role, you will be required to maintain buildings and infrastructure, keep the grounds and sites tidy and free of rubbish, assist with the set-up of events, functions and exhibitions and undertake regular movement of furniture. You will also be responsible for accepting deliveries across MOTAT.

Key responsibilities in this role are to:
•    Undertake general maintenance tasks to ensure that MOTAT continues to improve its overall safe site appeal to the visiting public.
•    Carry out regular site checks and maintenance according to approved practices.
•    Liaise with site and building maintenance contractors.
•    Procure supplies and undertake project work with others across the MOTAT Team. 
•    General maintenance and repair of buildings, furniture, and equipment.
•    Complete daily and weekly building WOF checks and schedule maintenance work accordingly.

To be successful in this role you will be a competent handyperson and able to do everything listed above, have a full drivers license and will be proficient in operating standard workshop machinery and equipment. A forklift license would be beneficial, however we will support you in getting this.

•    The full-time role is Sunday to Wednesday, 7:30 am to 6:00pm, 10 hour per day with a three day weekend. 
•    The part-time role is Monday to Wednesday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, 24 hr per week.

From 1 January 2022, it will be a requirement of this position to hold a valid My Vaccine Pass.
