Jane Clark

Jane has been at Mona – probably the most talked-about museum in Australia – since joining the foundation design and exhibition planning team in 2007.  A graduate of Melbourne University and the Courtauld Institute, London University, she was Curator of Major Special Exhibitions, then Curator of Australian Art at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 1982–94; and a Harkness Fellow at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. and the Metropolitan Museum, New York, 1988–90. In 1994 she moved to Sotheby’s, serving as Deputy Chairman in Australia until she left for Mona. Jane has been responsible for numerous exhibitions and publications and speaks regularly on art history and museum practice in Australia and internationally.
