The Society develops and maintains exhibits and manages the archives at the Firth Tower Museum, Matamata. The theme is the history of the Matamata district. Set in attractive grounds with trees, lawns and gardens, the Museum’s thirteen buildings include the Firth Tower (1882), the Homestead (1902), a cowshed with a dairying display, a woolshed and the Madill Shed with an extensive collection of farm machinery.
