We’re thinking of all of those people, whānau and organisations impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle.
Your colleagues around the motu want to help in the way that you need it. Please tell us what you need.
MA will set up a register of what our affected members need and distribute to members who could help. It might be boxes, specialist equipment or specialist people, or even something seemingly small that your shops have run out of. We will email our membership with requests.
Let us know; we’ll take your lead.
Contact us on mail@museumsaotearoa.org.nz or 04 4991313.
At this stage we don’t know the scale of the impact on our sector and would like to collect this information so we can communicate this to the Government on your sector. We are working with National Services Te Paerangi and Manatū Taonga | Ministry for Culture and Heritage to understand impact and needs.
When you are able to, please let us know the impact to your place, collections and people, even if you don’t need immediate help. It’s important for the Government – and us – to have a clear picture of the impact.
And if you are in a position to help our colleagues, please let me know.
