We all went online during lockdown - at least those that had the connectivity and technology did. What did we do differently, what can we continue, and how can we make it happen?
This zui kōrero was presented by Museums Aotearoa in partnership with National Services Te Paerangi.
We covered digital opportunities under the following themes:
Play: Noting the #museumchallenge trend this theme explores maximising available open content to engage audiences in play / relaxation (wellbeing) – an approach shared by Tim Jones, Christchurch Art Gallery (unable to join due to technology issues).
Educate: Museums grasped an opportunity to share their LEOTC type content to support whānau using digital platforms – some examples shared by Tara Fagan – Te Papa.
Work: We have all had to respond and shifted engaging with the world in different ways / this has in many cases forced digital capability building that gets side lined when we're all so focused on the way we normally work and operate – Phillipa Tocker shares MA’s approach and Adrian Kingston shares the plans that NDF have for the future.
Collaborate: this theme focuses on how we connect and work with others online – some examples shared by Adam Moriarty, Victoria Passau & Daniel Millar, Auckland Museum.
