Lead Exhibition Technician
Te Manawa Museum of Art, Science and Heritage is looking for a Lead Exhibition Technician with the skills and passion to bring a wide range of ideas to life.
You will lead a team that ensures the fulfilment of high-end exhibitions, with effective communication and your ability to identify and resolve a range of challenges. You’ll be pragmatic and proactive, encouraging your team to use their initiative to find and implement solutions of their own. You’ll be efficient and well-organised, with excellent planning skills coordinating touring exhibitions; including installation/de-installation, allocating tasks to staff, and providing design input to optimise the final outcomes on a variety of projects.
Being able to build and maintain strong working relationships and your in-depth knowledge of our Health and Safety obligations will be essential to this role, as you will be working with external contractors, volunteers and staff members working towards the delivery of the exhibits in a safe manner.
Your knowledge of museum lighting standards and techniques, and significant experience with sourcing and installing audio visual components will enable you to put together innovative and creative exhibitions that are engaging and unique.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant trade qualification and experience which you will utilise to plan, construct and install exhibitions. A drivers licence and forklift license are essential.
If you have a passion for bringing projects together and enjoy a unique challenge, apply now.
