Project Assistant Archivist - Special Collections, Library & Lending Services

University of Auckland

 Full-time, fixed-term until December 2019

About the role

We are looking for a mid-level archivist to support the consolidation of our architecture collection. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is interested in architectural collections to gain exposure to our collection and this unique set of archival language, working alongside a specialist in this area.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Archivist experience, ideally in a library setting, but commercial or museum experience is also valuable
  • Able to work independently, under the guidance of our Senior Archivist
  • Knowledge of archival management and the academic library environment
  • A Master of Information Studies or other formal archival qualification would be beneficial but not essential provided you have a good level of experience
